Do you have a location you’ve always wanted commemorated? I’d love to help with that! Something that I love about creating these scenes is that it reminds me of my life - where I’ve been, with whom, and what it means to me. Locations hold memories. Across my entire work, the uniting thread is that I capture moments worth holding onto. While a commission is personal to you and your experiences, I thought I’d offer this commission type as its a way I can use my skill to help others cherish these moments, in a format that I truly enjoy exploring.
Medium: Dry Pastel
Each landscape will be created on your choice of either 5.5 × 8.5” or 9 × 12” paper with a border showing the toned paper. You may cover up the border or keep it revealed in the framing process.
A note on reference photos and this type of commission:
What I am interested in:
- Flowers, trees, sky, moons, sun, ponds, lakes, grass, maybe a bird flying but nothing too detailed, horizon lines, mountains in the distance, depth, etc. ONLY LANDSCAPE. Maybe this includes a pathway or a building, but the bulk of the image is THE NATURAL WORLD.
What I am not interested in:
- Cityscapes, industrial scenes (I’ve been told my work is anti-industrial haha. I love that), figures or portraits (if you want that, that’s a different commission), cars, bikes, etc. Please make sure this is a photo you took yourself, or someone you know. Aka no random images from google or a photographer’s work that I’ll have to get the rights to.

- Include 3 - 10 photos for me to choose from. Phone photos are just fine! I maintain artistic license by choosing which photo is aesthetically pleasing to me, so that is why I request multiple. An image may make a beautiful photo but it doesn’t mean it will make an equally beautiful pastel artwork. If you only have one photo, you can fill out the form below only, and we can discuss if it will work, before payment.
I recommend having your pastel commission custom framed, behind glass or an equivalent, with a mat or spacer to prevent the pastel from touching the glass. Each artwork will be lightly fixed, but still will be fragile. Shipping within the U.S. is included and shipped flat. An option to ship or pick up can be selected at check out.
